Are You Worried and Stressed Because of Change?

We are mainly concerned with the personal or individual change in our work. Change involves a process, the alteration of a thing's structure or form to make it different. For human beings, this may happen both within and externally, for example, a change of appearance and behaviour. In today's world, human beings can change in appearance in so many ways such as sex, mind, behaviour attitude, beliefs, voice etc.
Generally, three types of change have been distinguished, which we can help with: incremental change, transition, and transformation, but transformation is our passion and speciality.

Incremental Change

Incremental change is a change that is introduced or implemented gradually and is adaptive in nature. It is usually intentional and is designed to improve the current state or existing way of doing things. So, it involves fewer changes and is easier to implement. It occurs through a series of small steps and for this reason it is sometimes referred to as step-change, continuous change or developmental chnage etc.

Transitional Change

Though some writers and practitioners classify transitions as a type of change, transition is the process of change. William Bridges, PhD, Founder of William Bridges Associates was a renowned change and transition expert. According to him, there is a difference between change and transition, though they are interrelated. Transition is the internal psychological process of adapting to change.

Transformation, Epiphany and “AHA” Moments!

The expressions “eureka” or “aha” are used to express the moment of inspiration when the solution to a problem appears in a sudden flash of insight, or an epiphany. This is attributed to Archimedes, one of the greatest mathematicians in history when he visited a bath house and found a solution to how to calculate density and shouted “Eureka!” (“I have found it!”) and ran out of the that he ran home naked because of his experience of epiphany. People who experience an epiphany tend to be able to make rapid, positive changes, which could potentially lead to better well-being. Researchers agree that transformation is a phenomenon. “Whether traumatic or sublime, transformative experiences activate considerable disequilibrium and periods of challenge. When approached with some dedication to growth, transformation causes a re-created person to emerge. “This highly complex phenomenon constitutes a radical internal rearrangement via processes that are not yet understood by science.” Ross, (2020).
